Wow
18-years-old and spending the rest of ur life in prison. That's a shame. Not to say they don't deserve it. It's even more of a shame that three 14-year-old boys had their lives taken in 2010.
Highly doubt he'll be there for his whole life
What may happen is:
Someone will come along and realize there isn't enough money to keep everyone in prison. They'll look at his good behavior over the last decade or so, and he'll be let out.
And of course he may very well stay there until he dies. All along, you and I will pay his living costs.
Why isn't more effort spent avoiding situations like this? We know younger people are going around shooting each other for "street cred", iPods, a pair of Nikes, and whatever else. So why not spend more time on avoiding these messes to begin with? Certainly seems better than letting people end up in prison forever.
