Closed cupcake chain re-opens in Dewey Square on Friday

The Boston Business Journal reports Crumbs is opening an outlet that will feature not only cupcakes, but pushup cupcakes in a tube and some mutant bagel/croissant thing.

Their cupcakes are dry and way too big. I was a huge fan until I started baking at home and realized what a good cupcake actually is.

The one thing I'll give them big props for is doing Red Velvet batter right. Not too many places up North can do that.

Sounds like someone has something to prove.

Let's have a Festivus for the rest of us. I'll bring the cupcakes, you bring the Cupcake wine from Walgreen's down the street.

Maybe we can recruit a third person to go to the other side of Washington Street and get us a Festivus pole from The Glass Slipper.
