Nate Morrow captured a self-immolating car on I-93 south, just past the tunnel, around 4:15 p.m.
Caroline Cook watched the car burn from the Whole Foods parking lot:

Is this Friday afternoon's car fire southbound near Whole Foods, or an entirely different weenie roast southbound near Whole Foods?
Oh, I forgot about that one
But yes, this is an all new car roast.
Oh, my god!!
Here's hoping that the driver/passenter(s) of the immolated car got away safely and in one piece!
Aftermath
Nate Morrow reports the driver got out OK, was standing away from the car as firefighters doused the flames:
Oh, okay!
Thanks for the heads-up, Adam. Glad that the driver is okay.
Is it just me ...
Or does it seem like this happens much too often? I think this is the third flaming car I'm aware of in the past 7-10 days, and honestly, I don't recall this happening much in my youth, but in the past ten years it has become kind of ... common. Is there some Tocata like thing yet to be revealed, some key electronic component that is making this occur? Just wondering.
Better reporting, I think
Or, at least, more people tagging me with photos on Twitter, same as with Storrowed trucks. :-).
