You always wonder how a car just flips like that

Paul the roving UHub photographer spotted this car-turned-turtle this morning on Soldiers Field Road by the Eliot Bridge in Brighton, around 11:10 a.m. He reports the driver got out by herself, seemed OK and that when he called 911, they reported police were already aware.

Racing Legend Jackie Steward would have had the answer, "It's the aerrrrroooodienamics!"
Yikes.
That intersection is horrible since the lights are fairly long so if it's red everyone hammers it.. probably got a little squirrelly and over corrected slid into the curb it pops them little SUV's over almost instantly..
Probably
It does appear to be on the sidewalk.
I once saw a car on Rte3 in Burlington rise into the air and flip onto its roof in the middle of the road. An old Dodge Dart, IIRC. I have no idea how he managed that.
Old Dodge Dart, eh?
Perhaps the drive shaft let go and vaulted the car into the air.
Texting While Driving
I was nearby playing soccer when this accident happened. The red car rear ended a dark black or blue sedan and flipped over. A member of our group ran over to help. True or not I cannot confirm, the word was that the driver of the red car was texting.
Another one?
I win again!

We wondered that in 2013
When this happened early one weekend morning:

Impressive!
Impressive!
There was one glorious morning in 2013 or 2014 when a taxi speeding to make a left turn as the light changed flipped across Mass Ave at Columbus and ended up on the wrong side of the road. There's probably a photo on here somewhere! The best part was that (once it was clear the driver was ok) multiple people stopped to point and laugh.
