Lilac Sunday came a day early this year

Because of the impending nor'easter, the Arnold Arboretum moved Lilac Sunday to Saturday.
Possibly because of the date change, possibly because it was pretty cold, there weren't all that many people this year.

First time that
I can remember a Lilac Sunday rainout.
There have been lots of people there this past week, morning to evening. So I think people have caught on that you can see the lilacs before and after the official Lilac Sunday.
There will still be plenty to enjoy in the upcoming warmer weather as well.
