It's Election Day in Boston and other cities

So get out and vote. In Boston, you get to choose four at-large city councilors and one district councilor. WBUR has a guide. You'll also get to vote in a non-binding referendum on whether to change Dudley Square to Nubian Square.

I think every town in Metropolitan Boston has elections today. Go vote! But first spend a few hours doing research and take it seriously.

Those are cities. Towns don't have elections today
for instance, Arlington has no election today.

My Town has an election today. I will be voting on my way home.
But is your town really a city?
You know, like Braintree and Weymouth.
Oh, and a trolling reminder to everyone that if you don't vote, my vote will mean that much more. So vote.

On another note, looking forward to seeing the Nubian exhibit at the MFA, but not in favor of renaming Dudley.

Gets my vote ! The MBTA should also change the name of the terminal along with all stations named after slave masters.

Guess you don't know much about history.
The Nubians also had slaves. In fact, the Nubians have become mixed with other ethnic groups in Sudan, and they still have slaves today. Now while the Dudley family may have been slave owners I have yet to see any documentation of this.
Very Quiet in W. Roxbury
Only 70 people had voted as-of about 10:00 am at my precinct at the Beethoven.
There was 1 election worker holding a Flaherty sign, and one Matt O'Malley sign on the fence. The other candidates didn't even bother to put up a sign. Not that I miss having to walk through a group of people holding signs, but you'd think the candidates would have put up signs.
Somehow I missed this
I normally vote on my way to work, but the first inkling I had that today was election day when I heard a mention of it on the radio (and then here at uhub.) Seems like there are less yard signs and general excitement this year.
Not sure if it's just my town
Not sure if it's just my town, but I've never seen so many signs! People have been at the center during evening commute hours for quite a while.
I have noticed Saugus does seem to be very civic minded, but of all the towns I've lived in, this town seems to have the most engaged people. It's a plus.

It's because Newton has every single lawn sign possible, and there weren't any left for anyone in any other city or town.
