Teen died from injuries suffered in Hyde Park house fire last week
The family of Mario Evans, 16, reports he died after his home at 1049 Hyde Park Ave. in Hyde Park caught fire early on Oct. 29.
His cousin, Sabrina Beauzile, writes:
Mario Evans, a very bubbly, smart, autistic young man, was taken from us way too young. He was always so helpful and yearned to learn as much as he could. He touched the lives of so many who got the chance to know him. His favorite holiday was Halloween, and he planned on being Super Mario this year. He always looked forward to getting his grandma and papi ready for bed every night. He found pleasures in the simplicity of things and knew how to be the life of the party.
Beauzile has organized an online fundraiser for the family, because in addition to the grief, they are facing funeral expenses plus the costs of finding a new place to live while their home is rebuilt.
