Somebody should have told the MBTA that latex paint and concrete floors are a bad combination

Witness the recently applied grey paint on the floor of Boylston Station, which has almost completely worn off in about three weeks.
OTOH, it could be that this "necessary" project was supervised by one of those "no-show" workers.

Yeah, I thought it was going
Yeah, I thought it was going to brighten up the station at first, but it just looks dingy and wow, that smell.
that's what that smell is
Was on the B line and a smell of paint wafted in, and stayed all the way to Warren St. I thought it must be a NEW project.
They don't seem to get the whole "clean look" thing
There are a zillion well-known ways to provide flooring that stands up to traffic while looking decent. Latex paint is not one of them.
I still don't get why the Bredas come with that gray rubber grooved flooring instead of the pebbled reddish stuff on older Green Line cars. We had a perfect example of how to camouflage dirt, gum, etc., and all we had to do was buy the same stuff again.
They are putting the same
They are putting the same grey paint on the floors in Prudential too...
