I'd have to second Kane's, although from JP, that's more than 15 minutes. At one point Dunkin Donuts used to make donuts like this (at least the honey dipped and chocolate honey dipped were), but not for years. One of these bad boys will land in your stomach with an audible thud and keep yer ass nailed to the chair. Probably your total required caloric intake for a day in one or two donuts.

There's two great spots here.Ohlin's Bakery and Linda's Donuts. Get there early though, they tend to sell out!

The saddest thing that has happened to me this year is that my coworker moved away from Belmont and can't bring in Ohlin's donuts any more. Love the chocolate/maple frosted....

a 15 min ride out of JP wouldn't get you far.. :)

However, if you want to make a ride to Everett, Dempsey's in Everett Square have excellent donuts..

Depending on where you are in JP, Mike's Donuts is a 15 minute *walk* (don't drive to get donuts -- I mean, seriously? -- a vigorous walk or slow jog will work off whatever you pack on)...

There's a Mike's outlet in the Forest Hills T station that has the same great donuts, but a great crew of Persian and Turkish hotties serving them up. I'd objectify further, but they'd cut me off and I need my honey dip fix.
