Unofficial city returns show state Rep. Linda Dorcena Forry with roughly 82% of the vote against Republican Joe Ureneck.
So who will host next year's St. Patrick's Day breakfast in South Boston?
Meanwhile, in the Democratic primary in the 8th Suffolk state rep's race, Jay Livingstone beat Josh Dawson roughly 68-32.

Ross must not be too happy with Dawson's beating...
there's a shadow over this election
Dawson lost the race the minute he opposed Walz' shadow legislation - that's very important to a lot of downtown residents, particularly many who vote in minor almost summertime elections like this.
As a result, he got a rep of being owned by the trade unions he never shook, deserved or not.

I listened to Joe's interview on WBUR. He came off as a creepy MRA who was opposed to protective DV laws as they currently stand. No way would I vote for him and give him the start of a political career.
