By adamg on Sun, 06/16/2013 - 3:15pm
A Nigerian couple got married at Trinty Church in Copley Square yesterday. Charlie Rosenberg photographed some of the attendees.

Where's the groom?
or am I missing something?
You phobic, bro?
;-)
I don't think there's a bride in this photo either. I think these are attendees.
Yes you're missing something..
....you're missing the the blurb that said the photo was of some of the *attendees*
If lesbians then returning to Nigeria is out of bounds
Since Nigeria has added to its already barbaric laws concerning Gays a law criminalizing marriage between two people of the same gender then I hope these women - assuming two of them are the happy couple - are content not returning to their home country.
The bizarre thing about that law is that since people of the same gender can not legally marry anyway why add to the books a law that applies penalties to an action that is legally impossible. Add this to the desire of the Ugandan government to legislatively murder Gays. What other African states will pass laws that worsen the oppressive laws against Gays? Creating scapegoats and then murdering them is a step toward fascist societies. Is that where this is going?
Uganda
You might want to read up on it.
Not that that has anything at all to do with a wedding at Trinity Church in Boston.
dude Nigeria and Uganda are
dude Nigeria and Uganda are on opposite sides of the continent.
Dude, I know
But I was responding to a comment that asked if any other countries in Africa were cracking down on gays.
Can you read, like, at all?
Can you read, like, at all? These were some of the people who ATTENDED, not those who were married.
Where's Cripes when you need him! Cripes!!!!!
I want to like this twice!
Adam, if you won't do a downvote button, maybe you could at least add a "cripes" button? With Cripes' blessing, of course.
Nice pictures...
and even nicer head wear!! Those are some serious chapeaus!!
Crowns
Many female black churchgoers refer to their hats as Crowns.
Yes....
And we all know what happened to Omar's granma's church crown.
For those without a program...
this is a popular culture reference. "Slapstick" is the ninth episode of the third season of the HBO original series, The Wire.
Nice
I like it
