mattapan
not Dorchester. hope shes ok.
Mattapan and/or Roxbury
Should annex all of Dorchester west of Dot Ave, with the exception of Jones Hill.
Ooo really?
What is Boston annexed all of Dot, Mat and all of Roxbury minus lower Rox and Savin Hill. How do you think those neighborhoods would fare.
If any neighborhood should annex itself, it's Westie.
??
what is with the influx of racist garbage anons recently? where do these troll people come from? could they please all go back?
Missed the racism. Was it
Missed the racism. Was it deleted?
The Suggestion Dorchester Should Be White
Since the minority sections of Dorchester are the ones west of Dot Ave minus Jones Hill, the anon seems to think we should carve them off into the already clearly defined minority neighborhoods so people like him know exactly where not to go.
There are minorities in all
There are minorities in all Dorchester neighborhoods. Anon seemed to want to annex the places where the most violent crimes occur.
Mattapan
Is a part of Dorchester.
Agree with your hopes for a full recovery. A bit of a surprise in this neck of the woods.
Not
Mattapan is not part of dot but a well defined (map-wise) separate neighborhood of boston.
Historically
Mattapan is a part of Dorchester, just like Allston is a part of Brighton and Jamaica Plain and Roslindale are parts of West Roxbury. There was never a Town of Mattapan, but rather Mattapan was a part of the Town of Dorchester before annexation, so the boundaries can be fluid. And yes, this written by the guy who wants to put a wall up to keep West Roxbury from annexing more of Roslindale. Heck, the whole area used to be a part of the Town of West Roxbury anyway, so we could even say that it is in Jamaica Plain or Roslindale.
In short, Harvard Street is the boundary.
Just doesn't make any sense...
Smh just sad, ppl out here just shooting!! Praying she's ok and wishing her a fast recovery. #WeGotToDoBetter
More than likely, this young
More than likely, this young mother doesn't have the funds to live in a "gentrified" neighborhood. Why should we put up with this crap? Why do innocent, elderly, small children, working taxpaying citizens, people going to church on Sunday morning, have to feel terrorized where they live? Have to be told it'snot safe to go outside or stand near and look out a window? I refuse to leave my neighborhood cause of these terrorists who don't want get their lives in order and be men. They should start by going to church.
Move the people
Don't fix the problems.
Okay.
Maybe you should get out of your neighborhood more often? Remember: this sort of thing might not even be picked up by the media in Boston in the 1980s because it was vastly more common.
if only everyone would follow
if only everyone would follow your lead and refuse to leave their neighborhood, this would all get worked out.
This is new housing
Pay a visit to the area. Seriously, no sarcasm. The houses look like they belong deep in the suburbs. I've never been in one, but they stand out in the area.
However, your assumptions are a bit off.
