Everybody who was anybody was at the Dorchester Day parade today
By adamg on Sun, 06/07/2015 - 4:35pm
Even the Boston Yeti made an appearance - after first shaving some fur for the summertime.
Marchers in the annual parade had bright skies, but not absurdly warm or humid conditions this year. Still, imagine marching 4+ miles dressed like this:
As always in Dorchester, marchers reflected the neighborhood's diversity:
The parade even had a helicopter:
There were plenty of bubbles:
And politicians, of course:
And one hamburgerhead:

Awesome. Looks like a fun day
Awesome. Looks like a fun day in Dorchester! Thanks for covering this, esp. since the 'local' tv news stations were too lazy to send a reporter.
WCVB had video
...on their (delayed) 11 pm newscast after the bb game. Don't know if they sent a reporter as well.
Adorable!
Yeti!
WTG, Mr. Yeti!
Guy taking selfie with Yeti
Looks like Marty Walsh's cussing union cousin
Except he wasn't
He was a nice guy with a couple of kids.
Looks nothing like Martin
Looks nothing like Martin Walsh.... Looks more like the Pope's Hill Civic Association president, who happens to be a great guy.
I wonder
I wonder if the Yeti uses the same groomer that I take my Maine Coon to every summer?
The Dot Day Parade has gone downhill.
I don't know if it's because groups don't want to march or what but it isn't what it once was.
What groups?
I've only been going to it for five or six years now, but am still finding it a great event.
In what way has it gone downhill?
(I'm not a regular spectator, and wasn't there this year, but I'd be interested in a little more detail.)
Hey suburbs guy...parade is
Hey suburbs guy...parade is funner and better than ever ...go back to Braintree and commiserate with all the other Pwt who moved out...not your home anymore, better than ever and I was born and raised here
Yeti Imposter
The original Boston Yeti is saying on Twitter (BostonYeti2015) that it wasn't him at the parade, that he would never subject himself to that much razor burn.
