Venerable South Boston restaurant seeks later hours

Amrheins, 80 West Broadway, goes before the Boston Licensing Board on Wednesday to seek permission to stay open until 2 a.m. seven days a week.
The restaurant, which opened in 1890, is currently licensed to stay open until 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 9 p.m. on Sunday.
The board's hearings begin at 10 a.m. in Rm. 809 in City Hall.

Not really a restuarant
anymore. More lick a bar. Th recent renovations removed all the booths making it one huge bar room. New sign says A Bar, not to be confused with D Bar.

Sure about those hours?
Their website and yelp says they're open until 1am every night. Of course it's a "Boston" 1am so they aren't usually open past midnight, but they're definitely open past 10pm during the week.

Love it or leave it sign? Where?
I've been to the old Amrheins before the renovations, and the new Amrheins. I never saw a sign that said "Love it or Leave It" or anything like that. As a matter of fact, I always found Amrheins to be an inclusive place. I'm a gay man and usually go there with other gay men and found the place to be comfortable and welcoming to everyone.
It was also the fave place of
Late city councilor and "confirmed bachelor" Dapper O'Neill back in the day.
Amrhein's Restaurant:
A friend/neighbor of mine and I have eaten at Amrheins on a couple of occasions, and neither of us noticed any
"American: Love it or Leave it" sign anywhere in that restaurant. I never ate in the old Amrhein's, but it's been tastefully renovated, and was quite pleasant and friendly, as were the waitresses, on both occasions that my friend and I ate there. Moreover, I've noticed all kinds of people eating there, as well, so it seems like a pretty inclusive place.
To put it
Amrheins can suck a lemon, the board is better off telling them they should close early.

For some reason I lol'ed a little when I googled the name and the first recommendation was "try the steak tips". Like, what I presumed the place to be and the reality were perfectly in sync.

Pumpkin risotto
Their seasonal pumpkin risotto, served in a pumpkin, is excellent.
