Orange Line trains be parking, after trackside cable starts sparking
By adamg on Mon, 01/08/2018 - 10:29am

In other broken T news I just
In other broken T news I just received this alert: "T-Alerts texts were delayed this morning due to technical problem. This problem is now resolved. Sorry for any Inconvenience."
Gonneville noted this issue at the FMCB
He also noted the continuing operating issues with the T system post-2015. Meanwhile Pollack and Ramirez patted themselves on the back for a terrible job.
Don't Blame Charlie — The Ⓣ Ordered New Trains
Were it a busted train, sure
And as we saw today, busted pipes are par for the course in this weather (or at least the weather we are hopefully leaving behind.) But even I sigh when it is this kind of infrastructure breakdown. I don't know what kind of preventative maintenance would keep this from happening (as I remind people that I don't in fact work for the T) but when it comes to signals, switches, and apparently cables, this is something that doesn't need to be manufactured overseas and assembled here- it can be done closer to home and a bit more quickly.
Hire more consultants!
The MBTA will announce the hiring of high priced consultants to study why dog sleds in Siberia provide a more efficient and safe mode of public transportation.
Thank...
Thank Rick Astley I wasn't going to Boston that day, because figuring out the alternative bus routes is a massive dismay.
