Most hated Red Sox ever?
By adamg on Wed, 04/29/2009 - 1:53pm
Lugo comes back and after just one game, people already hate him again:
Soxaholix: Lugo is like the spawn of Carl Everrett crossed with Rick Cerone.

Dick Drago-First game ever
Dick Drago-First game ever my dad went to get autograph while talking to me and told my dad to, "Pay Attention!" when he was signing autograph! Major League Asshole!
Poor overpaid Lugo
Lugo makes more than every other Sox player except Drew, Ortiz, Lowell, and Beckett, has never lived up to the offensive potential Theo was hoping for, and is backed up by two young guys who have shown they can equal his bat and glove for 10% of his salary combined. He is indeed tough to love. Tito doesn't help by running him out there when it was clear he needed more Pawtucket time to get the dust off his glove; those errors last night really hurt.
Eric Gagne
who could really compete with him in the 'hated' department?
Going Old School
Danny Cater and/or Stan Papi.

How soon we forget
Bung-hole Kim.
And Lugo isn't one half the genetic tragedy Jose Ooopserman was.
Lugo
Lugo played for the 2007 World Championship Team, he's ok with me. Put the Sox ahead with a key hit last night after the error. Could his timing be off a little bit coming back, especially on a tough play like the 3-6-3, probably ..my guess is he was looking to see if Youk would cover and lost sight of the ball. Happens. Came back and got on base twice.
Lugo is one of those guys who will never be a hero on the message boards ... so be it, but he's worked to come back, worked on his hitting and appears to be a good teammate. Go bother JD Drew or Nick "Boots" Green, will ya ...
Craig Grebeck, hands down
Craig Grebeck, hands down winner in my opinion.
Lansing?
Remind me: how did we feel about Mike Lansing?
I think I hated him. . . but I can't be sure.
Sick sports fan
Hey Christine, Tito doesn't decide which players are on the roster, Theo does.
More hateable

Is smashing one's wife in the face with a telephone worse than slamming one's wife's head into a truck?
who was the pitcher....?
who said he wanted to "drop a bomb" on fenway park after he went to another team?
