Horsing around at Carson Beach

Even tough State Police horses - and their riders - need a break, especially on a hot day like today, as roving UHub photographer Jonathan Mardukas discovered at Carson Beach in South Boston today.

Hot day?
Maybe 10 miles west of Boston (82 in bedford) but the airport only made it to 68 and the beaches probably weren’t much higher.
In the sun all day
That would tend to heat you up considering how strong the exposure is this time of year.
Not as hot as a car would get, but it will still feel hot.
Are the horse patrollers
Are the horse patrollers wearing bicycle helmets now? I guess it's cooler on your head to wear than a motorcycle helmet but it looks strange to my eyes.
Modern Helmet
Looks just like a modern riding helmet design to me. They are distinctive from bike and motorcycle helmets.

No Horseplay!
Good thing this was at the beach and not a pool.
I remember being confused as a barely-literate little kid about the No Horseplay in big letters on all the old pool signs. I wasn't planning to bring the horse!
