Other cities deal with the same informal non-election political campaigning. It would be better if all states forbade mayor's from plastering their names on benches and whatever else they can stick their names to.

For all the condemnation of Wu just how frequently has she painted her name wherever she can instruct city employees to label?

It's all Michelle Wu now. She even finally noticed the one Kim Janey sign around the corner from her house and got that changed, 2 years after taking office.

I will always give Romney credit for doing away with putting names on every single sign. I can only wish that we get a mayor one day that will do the same.

He also did back up traffic to NH on 93 the day after the Sox won in 04 so he could make look like he was the one taking down the Reverse The Curse sign over Storrow.

He should have been shot out of a cannon for that.

look around. Menino has his name carved in some stone signs in the City. He did this knowingly that it would be expensive to replace the stone. Now they want to name the BCEC after him? Be gone already.

Happy to hear this news, as they both seem like nice people and together served the city well for many years. It's generally a nice article, but a bit strange when it says "they live in a home close to Boston's border with Milton". Does that not count as Boston? Plenty of other electeds, like Andrea Campbell to take one example, live on the border of Milton, too. It just seems like a strange way to describe where they live rather than simply saying...Dorchester (or if you want to be picky, Lower Mills)!
