Early morning Franklin Park reveler came with a loaded gun, police say
Boston Police report arresting a man early this morning they say came to the Franklin Park party officers went to bust up with a gun loaded with seven bullets.
Police say officers on patrol came across revelers on Jewish War Veterans Drive, playing loud music and even blocking the road, around 2:45 a.m.
As officers arrived on scene, the large group began to disperse and observed a group sprinting to a vehicle that was illegally parked. Officers gave verbal commands for the operator to stop the vehicle, which he completely disregarded.
The operator put his vehicle in reverse, and then drove around the officers’ cruiser. Officers activated their cruiser’s emergency lights and sirens to initiate a motor vehicle stop. Officers were able to safely stop the vehicle in the area of Jewish War Veterans Drive and Franklin Park Road.
At first, officers simply asked the car's occupants for their IDs. But "after further investigation," the officers ordered everybody out, did pat frisks and "recovered a firearm" from Joshua Smith, 21 - more specifically, "a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield with one round in the chamber and six rounds in the magazine."
Smith was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, police say.
Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.

These losers park their
These losers park their crappy cars and blast music at insane volumes all the time. I feel bad for the animals in the zoo who have to live with it. Yet another reason Circuit Drive should be shut down. There never should have been a road built right in the middle of the park.
Takes too long to go around that park
Need circuit drive to stay open otherwise it is like an hour journey to go around that park.
Hey Spokeboy
The guy who drew up the plans for the park (through a previously farmed site) put even more roads on the original plan than there are in the park now.
You are not the only stakeholder. Never forget that.
