Maryland man brought gun to fist fight at Theater District club, police say

Boston Police report officers who responded to a report of a fight at Bijou, 51 Stuart St., around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, found a combatant that witnesses said had pulled out a gun during the disturbance.

The man, Eric Miller, 45, of Silver Spring, MD, told officers that, yes, he had a gun but that he had stowed it away in a nearby car before they arrived, police say.

Officers were able to locate and recover the weapon which was determined to be a fully loaded 9mm Glock 19 handgun along with an additional large capacity magazine. The suspect was placed in custody without incident after he was unable to produce a valid License to Carry a Firearm.

Miller was charged with a variety of offenses, including unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession of a large-capacity feeding device, police say.

Bijou was last in the news over noise complaints from the residents of the new luxury tower next door.
