Man shot to death in Expressway hotel

UPDATE: Victim identified as Joshua Briggs, 22, of Dorchester.

Rick Macomber reports a man was shot overnight at the Holiday Inn Express, 69 Boston St. at South Bay, and that he was declared dead in his fifth-floor room.

The Globe reports police say he was targeted.

Don't worry the State Senate just waived the requirements for background checks on many types of casino and hotel employees as a matter of public safety. So you can rest easy.
