Two men shot to death in Mattapan

Around 11:05 p.m. on Violet Street near Crossman Street. Both men were in their 40s, Boston Police report.

The Globe reported these murders as the 9th and 10th in Boston this year. Yet this list makes them the 12th and 13th. ???

Yes, BPD is now just reporting 10 murders this year.

The shootings on Violet Street mark the 10th and 11th homicides in Boston this year, said Sergeant John Boyle, a Boston police spokesman.

Last weekend, police released incorrect information regarding the number of homicides in the city this year

So I still have some work to do ...
