A Randolph man with a criminal record going back more than 20 years threatened to stab a woman who didn't want to talk with him at a Silver Line bus stop on Monday, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Read more.
A woman suffered possibly life-threatening injuries when hit by a large box truck at Essex Street and Atlantic Avenue around 6:30 a.m. The truck driver remained at the scene.
Way back in 2015, parts of Chinatown and downtown were turned into Manhattan simulacra for a remake of Ghostbusters. The Boston Business Journal reports a New York group has filed a letter of intent with the BRA to tear down an old building at 73-79 Essex St. and replace it with a 220-room hotel.
The building, used for light manufacturing, is next to Chau Chow City.
The Boston Licensing Board says Chau Chow City on Essex Street wasn't to blame for an argument between two tables of women that ended with combatants throwing plates and silverware at each other.

Around 11:45 p.m. in front of the outbound entrance to the Orange Line Chinatown station and the CVS. The suspect was described as a black man, about 5'7" and wearing a dark jacket with a red design on it, a black hoodie and a white knit cap.
He was last seen walking towards Downtown Crossing.
