No bottle service at Mattapan Square club for now

Rather than risk rejection after the mayor's office opposed them, the owners of Macumba Latina on River Street have withdrawn their request to offer bottle service at several VIP tables.
The owners made their pitch at a Boston Licensing Board last week - at which the mayor's office opposed the proposal, in part because they had yet to talk to any residents' groups.

I never understood bottle service
I mean, I know what it is, but why would people want to overpay it such a conspicuous manner? To show off I guess?
If I win the lottery and take all my friends (and you of course Adam) out for a night on the town, I still would just buy individual drinks, even when money is no object.

Will signal her willingness to mate by twerking her rump in the face of the alpha male. He will then initiate the mating process by pressing his body close to her rump while dancing. A dancing ritual will pursue, where upon the alpha male will slap the side of the female's rump, in a giddy-up fashion, signaling to other potential males that the receptive female has been claimed.

The benefit, besides the conspicuous-consumption part, is that you get a dedicated or semi-dedicated server, rather than having to go belly up to the bar every time you need a drink.
Just tip well
Take care of the bartender, and he/she will take care of you. Don't waste your money on bottle service.
