Power out in parts of Jamaica Plain

The city reports about 500 customers are without power in Jamaica Plain today but that NStar is looking to restore their service by 3 p.m.

One Green Street resident reports the power went out around 5:45 a.m.

Power still hasn't been restored to a number of businesses, or the traffic light at Green and Centre...which sucks, because it's basically blind if you're trying to make a left turn from Green.

There are, however, several NStar crews sitting around in idling trucks doing nothing.

14 hours to restore power in the winter, NStar? Really?
