It's been a while since the last one
if that happened today
it would be called "powergate" and other team's fans would assume boston was cheating.
then again, its the beanpot, the games could be full of cheaters.
thanks for posting that video, it was cool to listen to
I found it interesting when
I found it interesting when they were chanting for a new stadium, a wbz clip from 1970s did a report on mayor white looking into building a new complex via bonds.
Was this the same week as the "rain out"?
I seem to remember that there were electrical problems for both the Bruins and the Celts, but that there were also climate control issues so late in the season.
These lead to watery ice, a game where there was a layer of fog on the court, and to that water evaporating, rising to the rafters, condensing, and raining inside the Garden.
There was no way to not replace it as soon as possible - the bickering stupidity had gone on too long.
LOL to the kid at 18:33!!!
LOL to the kid at 18:33!!! Southie or a Townie kid??
Edmonton likely would've
Edmonton likely would've swept the Bruins had the lights stayed on.
I was there last night too,
I was there last night too, made for a late night with an overtime to boot
Quite the snipe at the end,
Quite the snipe at the end, eh? Couldn't help but feel a bit heartbroken for Maguire, but that was a really nice play.
IBEW a sponsor of this match, too ?
IBEW sponsoring a lot of sports contests these days...they going to own up to this power outage if a signatory is part of the Garden facilities team ?
I was at both
My brother, wife and I were sitting in the stadium section of the Garden. The announcer was announcing the goal that Edmonton had just scored when the place went dark. It was a little concerning when we were leaving as there was a rumor that the emergency lights would only stay on for fifteen minutes and you would not want to be stuck in a crowd negotiating the Garden's labrynth-like corridors in pitch-black. One of the last Bruins games I attended.
Last night wasn't as dark as the old Garden, I could get some extra reading in, and the BC-BU game was a classic after the Harvard-Northeastern snoozer.
