Completely and totally disagree
This is one of our most highly trafficked stops, and the tiled ceiling in that passageway - which is also lined with fluorescent lighting - has *buckled* from the water leakage. It's a safety hazard, not to mention a disgrace.
The outbound Orange Line platform, where that passage leads, is lined with buckets of dank water every time it rains. This was a city that tried to claim it was ready to host the Olympics.
Come on. Whining about delays? Litter? Panhandling? Sure - it's a city, "get a thicker skin," I hear that.
But the water leaks in Downtown Crossing and the T's approach to dealing with them are what I expect at a Greyhound station in some small Rust Belt town. Not New England's largest city. We shouldn't have to boast about how stoic we are and how thick our skins are.
I spend over two hours a day in this transit system, from door to door. So, get a life? Yeah, unfortunately, this crap IS my life, and I'd like it to be better.
Ceiling is going to cave in
Actually, Downtown Crossing is dangerous. If it rains a little, the floors are slippery and wet. The ceiling is about to collapse in the tunnel between the Orange and Red lines. Literally, it is going to fall on someone. I suspect that if we weren't in a drought, it would have already collapsed.

Looks like ceiling will collapse soon in some spots. And it's fun trying to navigate around it during peak travel periods.
I won't even ask why the Silver Line tunnel between South Station and Courtyard (which travels under Fort Port Channel) always has puddles in both directions.

Nothing clears my sinus's better than the smell or urine and human waste at Downtown crossing every morning.

past couple of days? WTF is up with that very pungent stench of shit? I was gonna say manure, but for where? Maybe sewer problem.
