WMEX could return to the air if it can find a new place to stick its transmitter

The current owner of WMEX, one of Boston's oldest call signs, reports to the FCC that it wants to put the 1510 AM station back on the air after its June 30 shutdown. In an FCC filing, Daily XXL Communications of Wilmington, NC reports:
THE LICENSEE' LEASE WITH THE TOWER SITE LANDLORD HAS EXPIRED AND THE 2 PARTIES HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO REACH AGREEMENT ON A NEW LEASE. THE LICENSEE IS ACTIVELY LOOKING FOR A NEW TRANSMITTER SITE.
WMEX, which until June 30, broadcast from a transmitter in Waltham, first got a license on Dec. 4, 1934.

Arnie "woo woo" Ginsburg is not walking through that door.
Wow.
Nat Hentoff's station.
They will not be able to find
They will not be able to find a new site. This is a four-tower directional array with tight tolerances. If they were to reduce it to a single tower, they might be able to put up a Valcom whip antenna like that of WZBR 1410 in Hyde Park. But they wouldn't be allowed to run anything like 50,000 watts -- probably just a few hundred watts, if that.
I know, right?

Funny name..
So UPI picked someone named "Carl Yastrzemski" as their pre-season AL Rookie pick, huh? I wonder what ever happened to that kid.
Those rumors from Moscow were correct...
...but premature. Major Yuri Gagarin would be launched the following day, April 12, 1961, on an R-7 ("Semyorka") rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. He would make a single orbit of the earth, landing in Saratov region, Russia.
Name that tune
Can anyone ID the record that plays at the end of the clip?
What'd I Say, originally by
What'd I Say, originally by Ray Charles, but that's not his version. I'll guess Jerry Lee Lewis.
Correct, I think
I thought the piano was likely Jerry Lee Lewis, and his recording was released in 1960.
