Another candidate steps forward in council race in Hyde Park, Mattapan and Roslindale

Michelle von Vogler of Roslindale announced yesterday she is running for the District 5 City Council seat that Tim McCarthy is giving up this year.

I am seeking to represent the voice of my community, neighbors, friends and family.

A graduate of UMass Boston, she is currently a strategic communications consultant for UMass's Center for Social Policy.

If elected, she would be Boston's first city councilor of Bolivian descent.

She joins an increasingly long list of candidates for the two-year seat.
