For some reason, I-93 north of Boston, and the Mass. Pike to the west, show up very clearly, while I-93 south, Route 2. and Route 128 are almost impossible to find. Perhaps something to do with the streetlights used by MassDOT on those roads?

Of course, US 1 in Saugus is visible from lights in all the parking lots.

I find that LED streetlights shine sideways a LOT more than the older lights. The walls of buildings are glaringly lit up. That can't help with sky light pollution.

No streetlight shines directly up, except those stupid acorn fake gas lamps which shine every direction *except* down. They should be banned I don't know what they're even trying to imitate, since we have real gas lamps in some Boston neighborhoods and they look nothing like that.

Bright blob = casino

The main bright blob is definitely the casino. The mall and the Wellington station developments are above and to the right of it.

The other excessively bright areas include Logan Airport, the Conley shipping terminal in Southie (near Castle Island), and the industrial complex along the Fore River in Quincy. New England Produce Center in Everett/Chelsea is also easily distinguished -- two parallel lines below and to the right of the casino.

The huge white blob does appear to be the casino, with the Target shopping center the slightly less bright blob above and to the right. I wonder how much floodlighting/spotlighting is in the environmental permits for the casino?
The other brightest large spots are Logan Airport, Conley Terminal, and a spot in the lower left quadrant which is the area of the Quincy Shipyard - but I suspect is more specifically the collective of car/truck dealership and service yards along 53 and the edge of the shipyard (but maybe that's just a quirk on my part)
