Man was driving through Roslindale with a gun loaded with 17 bullets and then he crashed, police say
Boston Police report arresting a Taunton man after finding a gun loaded with 17 rounds in his car before they had it towed away from a crash at Poplar and Dale streets in Roslindale early Friday morning.
Police say officers who responded to a report of a loud argument there around 4:45 a.m. found two newly crashed vehicles.
Officers observed one of the operators to be screaming and attempting to walk away. Officers were able to detain the suspect, and advised him that his vehicle needed to be towed.
As is customary, officers conducted an "inventory search" of his vehicle before it was hitched for removal, police say, adding they found a gun:
The firearm was later determined to be a Glock 19 with a Sear Switch which makes the firearm fully automatic. The firearm had an obliterated serial number and seventeen rounds in the magazine.
Richard Bereus, 21, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device and receiving a firearm with a defaced serial number, police say.
Nobody was injured in the crash, police add.
Innocent, etc.

ANOTHER GUN OFF THE STREET
Is always news @Zhu Hengpeng. Good news at that.
Sad
Willing to use it on a unsuspecting person in the street, but surrender so fast to the police. These fake gangsters need to hang it up, but try nashua Street for now.
I am glad to see this arrest.
I live nearby and have three children. People should not have weapons anywhere near anyplace near children or the elderly especially. I am really sick of people using Roslindale as a speedway, and there are a high number of accidents. There are parties by American Legion, and now this…so plenty of guns in the neighborhood. Including areas where I travel for work and bringing my kids to and from school. The mayor’s office needs to step it up and have police stationed in designated areas, not just arriving at the scene after some shit goes down.
