Teenager is second person charged with murder for fatal home invasion on Trent Street in Dorchester
A Dorchester 17-year-old was ordered held without bail at his arraignment today on charges he participated in murdering Leudis Mejia Sanchez, 49, and injuring a second man during a home invasion at an apartment at 5 Trent St. in Dorchester on Aug. 12, according to Dorchester Municipal Court records.
Luis Mario Perez, named in the records because murder is one of the exceptions in laws relating to juvenile arrests, was formally charged with murder, armed assault to murder, home invasion and illegal possession of a firearm, records show.
Boston Police homicide detectives, who obtained an arrest warrant yesterday, arrested Perez shortly before 10 a.m. today, police report. Court records show he is scheduled for a probable-cause hearing in Dorchester court on Oct. 11.
His arraignment comes two days after police arrested Manuel Guerrero, 18, on the same charges.
