Police commissioner reminds fans this isn't Vancouver
By adamg on Fri, 06/07/2013 - 1:04pm
Don't be knuckleheads, Ed Davis tells fans getting ready to throng the Garden tonight.
I ask that you celebrate a win or loss with the pride and class that our team and our city deserves.
Davis has a special word for any college students left in town: Act up, and your school will have a word with you.

I won't be anywhere near the Gahden tonight. But GO B's!
Ed we know
We have a lot more crime than Vancouver.
Not true at all.
Vancouver crime among worst in North America
That story is a joke.
They are talking about property crimes, which is high because of all the homeless and junkies in Vancouver. The number pick pockets, car break-ins, etc. are high. When it comes to violent crime, the city is like Disneyland. 10 murders in 2010 and 15 in 2011...which is absolutely nothing compared to most U.S. Cities of a comparable size. It's a very safe city.
Vancouver
is a dump that the hipsters love to trash.

Pretty impressive. I'm quite sure Disney World or Disneyland doesn't have that many murders.
Vancouver and the lower mainland has a major gang problem; 'ethnic' and biker.
No they don't.
That is Metropolitan Vancouver, not Vancouver. That's like comparing the homicides out of 20,000,000 in metro NYC, to the homicides out of the 8,000,000 people in NYC. Not the same thing. Even still, it is hovering around 35 murders a year, which is extremely low.
Vancouver had 10 and 15 homicides over the past two years, and is incredibly safe. It's actually one of the safer Canadian cities. Edmonton and Winnipeg are generally the most "dangerous" cities, and they are pretty tame too.
Where's the TPF when you need
Where's the TPF when you need them ?
I look forward....
...to hearing about Garden and Bruins representatives having to answer questions from the Boston Licensing Board about the behavior of their customers.
Ha!
Ha!
Hey College Students
THIS WILL GO DOWN ON YOUR PERMANENT RECORD.
And
no more fun of any kind!
More
is better, we need more bars and establishments that serve alcohol so these drunks don't have to take to the streets to celebrate.
Why do we have limits on the amount of liquor licenses in the City?
The internet
and the Info Age: when you do shit now, and get arrested, just arrested not even talking about news reports, blogs with your name, twitter, etc, you actually can relive the moment forever. Anyone doing a background check will discover past issues. Especially if you have a less than common name.
The words you're reaching for, commissioner...
This is our fucking city.
I have a special word for Ed Davis:
If your cops can stand around in intersections ticketing cyclists for running red lights, than I expect you to do a whole lot more than just refer someone to their school for a knuckle-rapping. I expect you to throw them in jail and charge them with the crimes they've committed.
So.
Sick.
And.
Tired.
Of.
Sports.
Fans.
Shitting.
On.
My.
City.
People don't riot during monsoons
I don't think he's got much to worry about.
