The Boston Fire Department reports no injuries after a truck driver wedged his truck but good under the Red Line tracks on Adams Street near Lincoln Street around 7:30 a.m.

At least as long as nobody is hurt and it doesn't take out the Red Line with it, that is.

Looks like one of those trucks that clears out sewer pipes. Despite not tipping over, I bet the dollar value of the damage is far greater than any box truck.

I was passing nearby around 10:30 and went to look at what was going on -the road was still closed and the truck about to be towed away. Interestingly, there is a sign that clearly states 13'6" on the bridge and the vacuum truck has a decal on it (not visible on the pictures above) that says 13'6". One of these things had to be a little off.

Sometimes they forget to adjust the sign after repaving, which could add a few inches to the road surface. I know a trucker this happened to. He said he got out of his truck with a can of spray paint and painted over the "6"" on the sign himself while he waited.

The truck's height could also change a few inches depending on the load it's carrying (although I would hope that the height they put on the sticker is what was measured when the truck was completely unladen, plus a couple inches for a safety margin).
